New Look in My Studio

For Open Studios I spackled and painted my walls and, with studio mates, had the chocolate brown walls in the hall and the rest of the studio painted white. I then hung just one row of small paintings instead of covering the walls with my usual 36"x36" oils. The new arrangement worked out well; people looked at all the pictures and they purchased more than I expected. (Yes that was a bottle of tequila for guests and artists!)

I'm in Nebraska but I brought my miniature paintings with me. My daughter has large beautiful paintings of mine here in her house. These remind me of years of painting in Maine where she grew up.

I have too many paintings so I've started making tiny paintings on stretched canvases on little frames. This one was purchased at the May Open Studios by a woman who works at Hospice By the Bay where I used to work. Now there's a little piece of me there at Hospice headquarters!
