I recently found this beautiful quilt - one of the first paper quilts I
made in 1980. I used to paint the little paintings and make small piles
on my dining room table. Then when I had six or eight piles, I would
spend a day or two sewing them into "quilts." It was very nerve-racking
because I could easily spoil the whole thing if I tore the paper or the
sewing machine acted 'funny.'
